SpiceJet flight with passengers onboard collides with electric pole at Delhi airport

Delhi airport officials said the SpiceJet aircraft was changed following the incident and passengers were shifted to another flight. An investigation into the incident has been launched, they added.

New Delhi: A SpiceJet flight with passengers onboard the aircraft collided with an electric pole at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The incident happened on Monday during the pushback of the aircraft. None of the passengers were injured in the incident.

Airport officials said the aircraft was changed following the incident and passengers were shifted to another flight. An investigation into the incident has been launched by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), they added.

As per the airline, flight SG 160 was scheduled to depart for Jammu from Delhi at 9.20 am.
